Staring at the Podium
It was her turn to speak
Fear gripped her like super glue
She couldn't breathe, she couldn't move
Her palms were sweaty, her heart racing
The room was spinning, her mind clouded
All eyes on her, all ears open
But no words came out of her mouth
No sound escaped her lips, just silence
She was nothing but a shaking leaf in the wind
The fear in the room suffocated her
She wanted to run away, to disappear
But she forced herself to stay put
Forcing herself to face this fear head on
